SMITE TRAILER

Jan 18th, 2012 // In: BLOG // By: Comments Off

Just signed on to do a live action trailer for the new MMO game… SMITE.  Mythological gods slowly come to life in a museum.  The plan is to take their character models and repurpose them for a live action setting.  Rebuilding the textures to make them look like giant angry statues.  It’s not everyday I get to make a frightening commercial.

SKYCAM DESIGN

Raymond Carr and I put our skullstogether and came up with this monstrosity to get our aerial shot for the V/H/S segment.  Five 4 foot helium balloons, lightest HD camera we could find and a ton of fishing line.

What’s most amazing is that we only actually got it stuck in the power lines once.

NO MORE FEAR!

Apr 6th, 2011 // In: BLOG // By: Comments Off

The FEAR VIDEO is UP!

THE FEAR from David Bruckner on Vimeo.

It took us longer than expected, but after several psycho nights in the city we made a mad happy music video.  I hope you enjoy the LOVETT album as much as I have.  I’m honored to have been a part of this video.

It’s wouldn’t exist without such a massive turnout of artists and friends.  There’s WAY TOO MANY to thank, but I want mention a few folks. First of all, thanks to The Black Knights Stunt Team for hanging all night with us to trick out some amazing spectacle; including those forward somersaults off the swing set at the end! I wanna thank Shannon Smith and all the kids at Soulshine for bringing their whole crew and the big white bus.  The Dorn Brothers for their costumes and dune buggy and spirits.  The Atlanta Rollergirls, Atlanta Ballet, and Out of Hand Theater for bringing their trades.

Steven Westdahl and Dana Swanson tied for most performances, each appearing 5 times in the video.  (Unless I’m missing something.)

We also had a ton of local appearances from likes of Beard Man, Rotzo the Clown, Father Berny Clark, Scotty PoythressChristie Vozniak, Jason Tyler, Lake Roberts, David Vann, Max CalderAbby MorrisJesus Christ, The King of Pops, Sacha aka “Death” Zuba those make out kids and many many more…

Also to City of Decatur, Joyce J. DorseyPC & E, and Day One Production Services who all lent a hand in the creation.

Our crew, ranging from first-timers to seasoned professionals all donated their time and expertise to this vision.

Thanks to  Jason PiccoloAdam Jordan and Linda Burns for producing hordes of people & resources and for never ever missing a chance to tell me “No.”

To Victoria K. Warren for shooting the shit out of this and for continuing to put up with me. She put together a focused & generous crew, including, in Camera: Mike Satrezemis, Bret Lanius, Max McDonough, Brian Z. Danin, Sidarth Kantamneni and Michael Kim. In G&E: Bobb Lovett, Nick Rowland, Jeremy Johnson, Max Junquera, Brigid Cappelletti, and many more.

Special Thanks to Studio OutpostJames Hussey and Doug Urquhart for all their strenuous Post magic.  Swat team and ghosts!

Extra thanks to Raymond Carr, Josh Wilcox, and Adam K. Thompson for their unique contributions of favor (put these guys on your short list.)

Pamela Tripp, Lisa Carter and Aimee Holmberg and for their spot-on designs and welcome creativity.  We had a great turnout of Art Department help that included visual work from Laurie G Force, Elaina WinterErin Santini, Laurence Laufer.

I’d like to thank Amir Khan, James TaylorBeau Turpin, Jen Caldwell and our entire Production Department on both shoots.   You guys were the frontline against madness.

For their production support, I’d like to thank Sidarth Kantamneni, Joe Kleber, Marc Dobiecki, Rattletrap ATL, Josh GilbertNick Hiltgen and Mike Pilcher.

Special thanks to Jodi Cohen for whipping out the rib dinner, Joe Nadau for knowing something about music videos, Michael Gluzman for being Michael Gluzman some guy named Krussel for allowing us to usurp his pickup truck and Mike Cosky for his rigging help and the sacrificing of a sacred leather jacket.

There are countless others with countless other contributions I can barely comprehend.

I’m lucky to make shit with you people.  Thank you, as always, for the pleasure.
